It’s been more than 60 years since Mr. Hogan won his last major championship, yet he remains one of the most talked about figures in golf. We think that’s because his name stands for something much bigger than the nine major championships he won.
Hogan was a perfectionist who built arguably the greatest golf swing of all time. He’s still thought to be the best ball striker in history. What he persevered is all the more impressive. After what was thought to be a career-ending automobile injury, he returned to golf and won all three majors in which he played in 1953. What’s just as important to us, however, is his respect for the game and tireless work ethic.
